On September 10, 2024, the Shiloh Falls Wastewater Treatment Facility received an unannounced visit from an official of the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) following a complaint of excessive runoff from the facility’s spray field. While the intent of the visit was to investigate the validity of the complaint, what followed was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the CWS team.
After a touring the facility, the TDEC official determined that the complaint was unfounded. In fact, they went on to praise the Shiloh Falls WWTF, stating that it "looked better than it has ever looked!" This remarkable feedback acknowledges the team’s consistent performance and strong operational management, which resulted in a positive outcome during this surprise visit.
Dana Douglas, CWS State Director for Tennessee, was quick to acknowledge the team behind this success. “Lynn Starrett, Chad Keeton, Josh Hester, and Mark Rodgers really deserve the credit for this successful visit,” he said. “Their combined efforts, expertise, and attention to detail ensured that the facility met and exceeded the rigorous standards set by the TDEC. The outcome of this inspection is a clear reflection of their hard work.”
Kudos to the Shiloh Falls team for their outstanding performance and for setting the bar high in wastewater facility management. Keep up the excellent work!
