You may have noticed that we haven’t been sharing the Kudos awards in the last few issues of the Flow.  Rest assured; our team members are still doing great things and we certainly want to celebrate their efforts.  In fact, we are excited to announce a change to our Kudos recognition program!  To make our recognition even more meaningful and impactful, we are shifting from a weekly format to a quarterly celebration. This new approach will allow us to highlight outstanding contributions on a larger scale, ensuring that the hard work, dedication, and achievements of our team members receive the recognition they truly deserve.

Our first quarterly award winner for 2025 is…Josh VanHorn.  Josh will receive a $100 gift card.  Don’t forget to send your Kudos nominations to kudos@clearwatersolutions.com.

I need to take a moment to celebrate Mr. Albert Smith (Collections & Distribution Supervisor in Swainsboro, GA) for his continuing education endeavor. Through the Burke County, Georgia IMPACT program, Mr. Albert was able to take classes to earn his credit hours and graduate with his high school diploma. We are so very proud of your dedication and accomplishment, Mr. Albert Smith!”  - Chris Morton, Project Manager, Swainsboro, GA

“I recently attended an intro lunch with our client - St. Marys, GA - and our CWS team that works with them.  It is obvious that Josh VanHorn and J.D. (James Dedge) are doing a fantastic job down there.  We had the City Manager and Asst City Manager, as well as the Public Works Director and the GMC team.   They stated that communication with our team is great and they are looking forward to continuing the relationship for a long time.  They have also offered to help provide references when we need it.  It is so nice to know that our team is well respected!”  - Christie Williams, Business Development

“Last month while reading meters, Stanley Bohanan called me and said that he smelled gas in front of a house where he was reading their meter.  I told him to go knock on the door to make sure the people inside were not injured. The gas company came out and it turns out that there was a really bad leak in the house. The gentleman who lives there came to City Hall and wanted to shake our hands and thank us. I believe this really reflected good on us as a team. Just wanted to let you guys know we are working hard and doing a great job for the community over here in Decherd, TN.” - Travis Stephens, Supervisor

From Shawn Nichols, VP, CSWR:  “I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how impressed I am with CSWR/Confluence River's response time to a customer concern.”

“I noticed some effluent leaking from a manhole in the road during my morning walk.  I called the customer service number and filed a report.  "Kim" said she would submit a work order and also asked to update my contact information, and asked if I wanted to be included in text messages for the future.  This cleaned up an old phone number that must have been erroneously sent to you from Lake Sherwood.  Within 20 minutes, a serviceman was at my door to confirm the exact location of the issue.  He told me he would look into it and close the loop with me afterward.  Several hours later, I drove by and saw two trucks in the road working on the issue.  A little later, the serviceman told me they found a blockage and removed it.   I asked him who I should drop a note to regarding how courteous and responsive he was.  He said, "Aw shucks....Let CSWR know, but it probably won't filter down to me anyway."  And he laughed.  I was amazed and pleased at how quickly and professionally this concern was handled.   This just reaffirms what I already knew....we made the right choice in selling our systems to CSWR."

Thanks,

Jerry Thornton

“I would like to take the time to recognize Dwayne Sweat from the Ocala Branch.   Dwayne is the Construction Foreman for the CMS team and under his leadership, the Edgewater Lift Station #11 project was completed in only 65 working days - nearly half of the time (120 days) allocated by the contract.  The project included the removal and demo of the existing manhole, vault, and lift station lids.  They also removed the existing motors, pumps, hardware, all electric racks, panels, and concrete, and installed a new by-pass pump, valves, vaults, bollards, concrete slabs, lids, electrical rack, panels, lighting, and restored landscaping.  The bid amount was over $560k.   Ray and I are very proud of his work ethic and quality standards, and due to his performances, Dwayne has been offered another leadership role in one of Florida’s upcoming construction projects which will begin in February.

NOTE:   Numerous CWS employees from the Ocala branch contributed their time and labor to bring this station to completion. THANKS to all of them for their hard work and dedication that made this happen.”    - Fred Nelson, CMS Project Manager

“Ray, Houston, and I are excited about what Shane Nelson has accomplished for the City of Ormond project. Since his promotion to Job Superintendent, Shane has moved that project beyond our expectations.  There were, and still are, numerous hurdles and “rings of fire” that Shane has had to overcome and he stepping up to each challenge.”   - Fred Nelson, CMS Project Manager

Email from a happy customer in Louisiana:  “I cannot tell you how proud of the job your company in Lake Charles did through this snow and freezing weather! We never lost water. One time the pressure got a little low the last two days, but we are back to normal! I know y’all bought a broken company, but I’ve noticed a big difference in service and really appreciate it!  Thanks again!”  - Daryl Fleming, Lake Charles, LA

CWS recently launched a new Kudos award program to recognize and celebrate employees who go above and beyond in their daily responsibilities, obtain new certifications, exemplify our core values, or simply make a positive impact in the world around us. What a great initiative this has turned out to be!  Our employees are doing great things and we have received numerous nominations for their exceptional efforts.  Everyone nominated not only receives a shout-out in The Flow but is also registered in a drawing for a gift card.   Send your nominations to kudos@clearwatersolutions.com.
