In the event of a Safety Incident…

Incident reporting is a crucial practice that promotes safety in the workplace. It not only pinpoints areas of improvement in an organization but also can prevent accidents from occurring in the future. The CWS Incident Reporting Program lays out all of the steps and requirements of the incident reporting process. In the event of a safety incident, this should be the document that Leaders follow; from the immediate safety of the scene, to drug & alcohol testing requirements, to any reporting requirements to OSHA. The Safety Team has also created an Action Card for both Team Members and Managers that can be kept nearby or in your vehicles to be used as a quick reference. If the Action Card is used, please make sure to follow up with the Program to make sure no steps were missed. Both the Incident Reporting Program and Action Card documents are available in the Resources tab in KPA for review, download, and printing. Training on the Incident Reporting Program is being developed and will be coming soon.
