While the past year was certainly challenging, the company’s leadership team shared an encouraging outlook for 2025 during its ‘All Hands Meeting’ on Wednesday.
CEO Paul Quentel noted that the biggest news of the week is that the financial issues that our largest client was experiencing are now largely resolved and their payments to CWS are coming through as promised. “This is great news,” Paul said. “By the end of the month, CSWR should be caught up significantly with their outstanding invoices. As importantly, we have also implemented changes going forward to ensure this doesn’t happen again. We are also revising their contracts to include longer terms and better pricing on billable work.”
Paul went on to discuss additional topics such as sales growth, with a focus on building up sales activity in Public Operations and the CMS Division. This includes a new Sales Incentive Program to reward employees who bring in work with new clients. More information will come soon on this initiative.
Houston Black, Executive VP for the CMS Division provided an update on the work of his team. He detailed some of the latest bid wins for his team, including the largest win to date – the City of Palm Coast, FL – for which the team will be providing As Needed Pump Station Rehabilitation Services over a three-year period. Houston also announced that Barrie Dunlap has been named Director of Business Development for the CMS team. He went on to share the news that CWS is now licensed as a General Contractor in FL, SC, NC, MS, and LA and will be in Georgia soon.
Next on the agenda was Bryce Mendenhall, COO, who shared an update from Operations. Topics included the addition of 47 new CSWR sites in the Houma, LA area with more new sites throughout the state to come in 2025, the evaluation of a new “after hours” callout vendor, an update of the safety metrics for October, as well new numbers for the “Days in Compliance” statistics.
Bryce also thanked those who have been a part of securing contract extensions with existing clients. “These teams have done an excellent job working with the clients to manage relationships,” he said. “Swainsboro, GA announced earlier this week that they are awarding us a 6-yearcontract extension. This project was actually put out for bid, so this is a huge win for our Swainsboro team and our company. We have also secured contract extensions for CSWR in Arkansas, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and are working to finalize those in Louisiana. These contracts include updated equipment pricing and hourly rates which will ensure we remain successful and profitable in these communities.”
After a brief Q&A session, Paul closed the meeting with remarks of appreciation for everyone’s hard work and reiterated that the outlook for 2025 looks extremely positive.
