SNOW DAY PHOTO SUBMISSIONS

While many of CWS’s northern sites experience snow on a regular basis, it is a rare occurrence when our most southern states see it.  Last week was an exciting time for many, especially those along the coast, who saw the white flakes falling on their communities.  And not just a dusting…we’re talking record-setting snowfall in three states - Alabama, Florida, and Louisiana.  

In the Florida Panhandle, 10 inches fell, exceeding the March 1954 record of 4 inches. New Orleans also saw an accumulation of over 10 inches - more than triple the previous record of 2.7 inches from 1963.  Mobile, AL’s record of 6 inches set in 1985 was shattered by last week’s 7.5 inches of snowfall.  All 11 states in which we operate have received snowfall in 2025!  

To celebrate such a historical…and fun…time, we encouraged our team members to submit photos to commemorate the event.  Everyone who participated was entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card.  A special thank you to the 30 employees who submitted a total of 65 photos.
