The partnership continues with Volusia County Schools as CWS was recently awarded the contract for operations, maintenance, and management of the water and wastewater facilities for the school district.
The system includes the New Smyrna Beach Ag Farm Water Treatment Plant, the Taylor Middle-High School and Volusia Pines Elementary School Wastewater Treatment Plants, and 21 lift stations throughout the County. Keanu Wadhams will serve as the Project Manager over the facilities.
According to internal sources, the relationship with Volusia County Schools began in 2015 when ESI (now CWS) began providing lift station work for the school system. The partnership continued to grow, and ClearWater Solutions was later hired to provide professional operations and all maintenance services.
“This is a great example of how building successful partnerships can result in long-term contractual agreements”, said Keanu. “Nearly 10 years ago, we were awarded a small project and proved ourselves worthy of their trust. Then they gave us a little more work which we successfully provided. And here we are today, celebrating another contract and 10 years of a great working relationship with Volusia County Schools. This award says a lot about our company, our team, and our commitment.”
The new four-year O&M contract will begin on January 1, 2025.
